The same service robot stays in use in one place and is switched off in another. What makes the difference?
This research builds a way to judge, before launch, whether a physical AI product is likely to stay in everyday use. The site’s archive grows out of the same work.

Seungbin Jeong is an industrial designer and HRI researcher.
He founded a company in 2013 and sold products he designed and made in 12 countries, including at colette in Paris. One was voted best new product by visitors at 100% Design London.
In 2018 he became head of the design research lab at a high-end furniture company, where he raised the company’s overall design capability and contributed to 180% growth in annual revenue. He later served there as CBO.
In 2021 he began a master’s degree and, for about two years, led design work on a government-funded research project developing social robots, graduating with a thesis on HRI. He is now researching Physical AI design methodology from an industrial design perspective on the Master of Research programme at the Royal College of Art.
